Baked Brie in Puff Pastry with Honey, Fig, and Prosciutto

A delicious appetizer combining savory Brie cheese with sweet fig preserves and honey, all encased in flaky puff pastry.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup fig preserves
  • 4 slices of prosciutto
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly flour a surface and roll out the puff pastry.
  3. Place the Brie cheese in the center of the pastry.
  4. Spread fig preserves on top of the cheese and drizzle with honey.
  5. Lay the slices of prosciutto over the preserves.
  6. Fold the puff pastry over the Brie, sealing the edges.
  7. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden color.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Use room temperature Brie for easier spreading and a creamier texture. Experiment with different jams or spreads if you don’t have fig preserves.
