Cookie-Coated Caramel Apples

Delightful caramel apples coated in crunchy cookie crumbs, perfect for holidays and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium apples (your choice)
  • 1 cup caramel candy, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup cookie crumbs (chocolate chip, graham crackers, or your favorite)
  • Lollipop sticks or wooden skewers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Insert a lollipop stick or skewer into the top of each apple.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the caramel candy and water. Heat over low heat, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.
  3. Dip each apple into the melted caramel, allowing excess to drip off. Roll the caramel-coated apple in the cookie crumbs until fully covered.
  4. Place the coated apples on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them sit until the caramel hardens.

Notes

For a vegan version, use dairy-free caramel. For gluten sensitivities, select gluten-free cookies. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
