Lemon Herb Baked Brie in Puff Pastry

  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, or parsley)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Place the Brie in the center of the puff pastry.
  4. In a bowl, mix the lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spoon the mixture over the Brie.
  6. Fold the pastry over the Brie, sealing it tightly.
  7. Brush the pastry with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Let the Brie sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before using it to help it melt more evenly. Experiment with different herbs based on your preferences.
