A delightful dish that combines fresh ingredients, featuring layers of cheese and tomatoes topped with a balsamic drizzle for a gourmet touch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 flatbreads or naan
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place flatbreads on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Drizzle flatbreads with olive oil, layer with mozzarella slices and halved cherry tomatoes, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and edges are crisp.
  4. In a small saucepan, heat balsamic vinegar and honey over medium heat until reduced by half and syrupy.
  5. After baking, sprinkle flatbreads with fresh basil and drizzle with balsamic reduction. Slice and serve immediately.

Notes

Choose a good-quality balsamic vinegar for the best flavor. Add toppings like olives or arugula for extra taste. Bake flatbreads longer for a crispier base.
