Savory Turkey and Cranberry Crescent Ring

Savory Turkey and Cranberry Crescent Ring

A cozy crescent ring that wraps tender turkey, sweet-tart cranberry, and melty cheese in a golden crust, perfect for holiday meals or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 triangles each)
  • 2 cups cooked turkey, chopped or shredded
  • 1/2 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce (or 1/3 cup dried cranberries)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss, provolone, or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced (or 2 tbsp minced red onion)
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (or 2 teaspoons yellow mustard)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten, for egg wash (optional)
  • Poppy seeds or sesame seeds for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. In a bowl, mix together turkey, cranberry sauce, cheese, celery, green onions, mayo or yogurt, Dijon, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to make the filling.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and arrange triangles in a circle on the parchment with wide ends overlapping in the center and points facing out, creating a 10–12 inch ring.
  4. Spoon the turkey mixture evenly around the center where the dough overlaps.
  5. Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling and tuck under the center to seal, patching gaps with extra dough if needed.
  6. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with optional seeds.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and the center is hot; tent with foil if browning too quickly.
  8. Let rest for 5–10 minutes, then slice and serve with extra cranberry sauce or gravy if desired.

Notes

Make sure to keep the crescent dough cold for easier shaping. Drain wet ingredients to avoid a soggy bottom.
